Call for submissions: deCoste Culture Hub Gallery 2025/2026 Exhibitions
Creative Pictou County is facilitating the installation of individual artists and collectives in the gallery’s at the deCoste Culture Hub. The artist is responsible for installing their own work, with support by Creative Pictou County as needed. All sales will happen through the artist – labels and exhibition information must have artist contact information (if work is for sale).
Installation requirements
The hanging system at the deCoste Culture Hub uses suspended wire and hooks. Paintings and prints must be framed and frames must have wire on the back. For non-frameable works (such as textiles) Creative Pictou County will work with the chosen artist(s) to showcase the work.
Application details
Please send the following information in an email to carissa@creativepictoucounty.com with the gallery name you are applying for in the subject line:
- Artist bio (PDF)
- Images of works to be exhibited (images to be labelled Firstname_Lastname_Image#)
- In a separate document include the artwork titles (if applicable) year produced, medium and price (if applicable)
- Installation requirements for your artworks (please see note about gallery hardware)
- A brief description of the works you are submitting
- Applicable links such as website and social media
- Preferred dates
Please note:
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the slots are filled.
Artists are responsible for insuring against damages and theft.
Small Gallery | 15 Feet
Dates available:
July 21 – September 12, 2025September 15 – November 20, 2025November 24-January 16
Theatre Gallery | 36 feet (12 foot wall and 24 foot wall with theatre doors in between)
Dates available:
October 14 – November 18, 2025
Murray Room Gallery | 50 Feet
Dates available:
November 24, 2025 – January 17, 2026
Call for Submissions: Art Auction Fundraiser
We are excited to invite artists of all disciplines to participate in our upcoming Art Auction Fundraiser, benefiting Creative Pictou County. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your work, connect with collectors, and support a great cause, all while earning a share of the funds raised from your artwork.
Artwork Requirements:
- Must be original works.
- Artwork must be ready for display (framed, matted, or properly mounted if required).
Artist Compensation:
- 50% of the auction sale price will go directly to the artist.
- The remaining 50% will benefit Creative Pictou County.
How to Submit:
Email the following to Carissa@creativepictoucounty.com
- High quality images of your work with a brief description and dimensions.
- A short bio (max. 200 words) and any social media or website links.
- Suggested starting bid.
Important Dates:
- Submission Deadline: July 31
- Notification of Acceptance: August 15
- Auction Event Date: November 15 at the deCoste Culture Hub (99 Water Street, Pictou)
