2027 deCoste Culture Hub Galleries
Creative Pictou County facilitates all five gallery spaces within the deCoste Culture Hub and is seeking artists for 2027.
How to apply:
If you would like to apply to any of the following opportunities, please submit the following to Carissa@creativepictoucounty.com. The deadline to apply is November 20.
- Exhibition date preference (please select two options) and note which gallery you are applying for
- Exhibition statement and title
- 5-10 JPEGS of the work you wish to exhibit with sizing of final pieces
- Installation method if not hanging with traditional frame and wire
Installation requirements:
The hanging system at the deCoste Culture Hub uses suspended wire and hooks. Paintings and prints must be framed and frames must have wire on the back. For non-frameable works (such as textiles) Creative Pictou County will work with the chosen artist(s) to showcase the work. The glass display case has the flexibility to remove shelves for larger works and is lockable for security.
Please note:
- Starting in 2027, Creative Pictou County will be managing sales of all artwork and taking a 20% commission.
- Artists will no longer be able to display videos on the screens within the deCoste. Video work can still be submitted with an outline of how the artwork will be displayed from outside screens/display methods.
