About Our Studio
Welcome to the Creative Pictou County Artist Studio – a vibrant hub where imagination and talent come to life! Located in the Town of Pictou, our studio is a venue for local artists and creatives to explore their passions, collaborate, and share their work with the community. Whether you’re an artist looking for a space to create or an art lover eager to experience the rich diversity of our region’s talent, we invite you to immerse yourself in the creativity that defines our studio.
Teach in Our Studio
Creative Pictou County is thrilled to have an artist studio in the deCoste Culture Hub at 99 Water Street in Pictou. This beautiful open space is ready for artists to teach their craft to the community.
With no specialized equipment in the studio, the instructor must bring their own equipment. There are two options artists can chose to access the space: being hired by Creative Pictou County or renting the studio.
Artist Compensation
Instructors are paid $75 per hour for teaching.
Creative Pictou County takes care of the administration and promotion of each workshop, so you can focus on what you do best creating and teaching! This is a rolling intake, however we are looking to launch workshops in October 2026.
Artists would provide a list of materials that each participant would be expected to bring.

Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays: 2 hour workshops
Saturdays: 3-4 hour workshops
